The mens is a modern homage to a design used by the British Army in the North African campaign in WW2. Issued to Montgomery's favourite officers this watch was given to the first organised behind the lines infiltrators of the Long Range Desert Group. This group were also issued with duffles- soft enough to act as cushions for the seats of the units Chevy based trucks yet warm enough to sleep in for the bitterly cold nights.
Made in stainless steel the case has a replica screw down face glass to keep out dust and water. The glass is sapphire mineral glass and the face is black with white numerals. There is a stop watch and elapsed time function.
The movement is a modern non mechanical unit that keeps exceptional time- giving true chronograph performance.
The watch is water resistant to 50 metres and has an engraved back featuring the Montgomery logo.

Inspired by the design of watches worn by selected officers and men in WW2 during the North Africa campaign.
These men were in the Long Range Desert Group commanded by Colonel Stirling. This group operated in specially converted Chevy trucks behind enemy lines to create confusion and mayhem. Later this group became the SAS- Special Air Service and its naval equivalent- the SBS - Special Boat Service.
The watch has a 44 mm wide case. The strap is 22mm wide on the lower side and 20mm wide on the buckle side.
The case is 100% stainless steel with a screw on back that is water resistant to 150 feet.
There is a full chronometer performance from the modern non mechanical movement with elapsed hour, second and minute timings.
The back of the watch is engraved with our laurel leaves logo featuring images of some of the first sailors wearing our duffle coats from the mid 1890`s.
The buckle is engraved with the word MONTGOMERY.
